Profile
Dr. Saad Irfan is the principal dentist and clinical director of Dr. Saad Irfan & Associates Dentistry, which he runs across three clinics in DHA Phase 5, DHA Phase 8 and Clifton Block 9.
He holds two postgraduate degrees from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom: a Master of Dental Surgery in Restorative Dentistry and a Master of Science in Dental Materials. The combination is unusual and it shapes how he practises. Restorative training governs how a tooth is rebuilt; materials science governs what it is rebuilt with, and why one ceramic will outlast another in a particular mouth. Most dentists learn the first. Far fewer have studied the second formally.
That matters most in the work he takes on. When a patient needs a crown, an implant restoration or a full set of veneers, the material choice is not a catalogue decision — it depends on bite force, opposing dentition, gum profile and how the patient actually uses their teeth. Dr. Saad's practice is built around getting that judgement right the first time, because remaking failed restorations is the single most expensive thing that happens in dentistry.
He is registered with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council and has practised for over fifteen years. His clinical focus is restorative dentistry, endodontics and implantology, with a particular interest in root canal treatment performed under high magnification — his clinics use a Zeiss dental operating microscope at 24x, which makes it possible to find and treat canals that are invisible to the naked eye and are the usual reason a root canal fails years later.
He also oversees the clinical protocols across all three practices, including the Class B autoclave sterilisation cycle and the use of the Wand computer-controlled anaesthesia system, which delivers local anaesthetic at a regulated rate and removes most of the discomfort patients associate with dental injections.
All three clinics are open from 9 AM to 11 PM, seven days a week, because a significant proportion of dental problems announce themselves in the evening.
