Cookies, andwhat we don't do
Most cookie policies are written to be survived rather than read. This one lists every cookie we set, what it does, how long it lasts and how to refuse it — and, just as importantly, the categories we have chosen not to use at all.

The Cookies We Set
Strictly necessary — always on
These make the site function. They cannot be switched off, and they set no identifier that follows you anywhere else.
- Cookie-consent record — stores whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the banner does not reappear on every page. Lasts 6 months.
- Session and security tokens — protect form submissions from cross-site abuse. Expire when you close the browser.
Analytics — only with your consent
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read, how people arrive, and where they give up. IP addresses are truncated before storage and we have not enabled advertising features, audience export or Google Signals.
- _ga — distinguishes one browser from another so a returning visit is not counted as a new one. Lasts up to 24 months.
- _ga_<container> — holds the session state for this property. Lasts up to 24 months.
Functional
Where the site remembers a preference — a chosen clinic on the map, a dismissed notice — that preference is held for the session only. We do not build a profile from it.
What We Have Chosen Not to Use
This section matters more than the one above. We do not use:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies. Nobody is following you around the internet with an advert for a root canal.
- Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other social advertising tag.
- Cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or device-graph identifiers.
- Data brokers, audience marketplaces, or any onward sale of visitor data.
- Session recording or heatmap tools that replay what an individual visitor did on the page.
This is a deliberate choice about a health website. Someone reading a page about a dental abscess at two in the morning should not have that interest follow them into their social media feed.
Third-Party Content
Google Maps
Our contact and location pages embed a Google map. Loading it means Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own policy. If you would rather not load it, the addresses are also written out in plain text on every location page and in the footer.
Google Fonts
Typefaces are served from Google's font service. This sets no cookie, but the request does reach Google's servers.
WhatsApp and phone links
Our WhatsApp and call buttons are ordinary links. Nothing is transmitted until you tap one, at which point your own app opens and WhatsApp's terms apply to the conversation.
