Information,not a diagnosis
This website contains a great deal of dental information, written carefully and reviewed by a registered dentist. None of it is a diagnosis of your problem. This page explains where the line sits, and — more importantly — the symptoms that mean you should stop reading and get to a hospital.
At a glance
- Nothing on this site replaces being examined by a dentist.
- Spreading facial swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing: go to hospital A&E, not to us.
- We never name a drug or a dose on a public page — that is prescribing.
- Clinical pages carry a named reviewer and a review date.
Read This First
Go to a hospital accident and emergency department now, or call 1122, if you have any of the following: difficulty breathing or swallowing; swelling spreading towards your eye, under your jaw or down your neck; a dental infection with a high fever, shivering or confusion; bleeding from the mouth that will not stop with 20 minutes of firm pressure; or a facial injury with loss of consciousness. These are managed in a hospital, not in a dental chair. Do not wait for a dental appointment, and do not wait for us to open.
For everything else — toothache, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, a swollen gum, pain after a procedure — call us. We are open 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM, seven days a week, including public holidays. We are not a 24-hour service and we do not describe ourselves as one.
What This Website Is For
Our service pages, cost guides, comparisons and articles exist so that you can walk into an appointment already understanding what is likely to be discussed. An informed patient asks better questions, consents more meaningfully, and is far less likely to be talked into treatment they did not need. That is the whole purpose. It is education, published in general terms for a general audience.
What It Is Not
Nothing on this website is:
- A diagnosis. Two people with identical symptoms routinely have different conditions, and telling them apart usually needs an examination and a radiograph.
- A treatment plan. What is right for you depends on findings that cannot be established through a screen.
- A prescription. We do not name medicines or doses on this site. Doing so ignores your allergies, your other medication, your kidney and liver function and your pregnancy status.
- A reason to delay care. Reading that a symptom is 'usually harmless' is not a reason to leave it. 'Usually' is a statement about a population, not about you.
- A reason to stop treatment a clinician has already given you. Discuss it with them first.
If anything on this site appears to contradict advice given to you by a dentist or doctor who has actually examined you, follow theirs. They have information this website will never have.
About the Prices You See Here
Our cost guides publish market price ranges for dental treatment in Pakistan. They describe the market, not our fee list, and they are labelled as such on every page. Where we do publish our own price for a specific treatment, it is a 'from' figure for the simplest version of that case, it is identical at all three clinics, and it is stated as such. It is not a quote.
Your actual cost is established after examination and given to you in writing before treatment begins. A consultation and full assessment is PKR 2,000.
Results, Photographs and Case Studies
Before-and-after photographs on this site show real patients of this practice who gave written permission for that specific use. They are not stock images and they are not composites. They are also not a prediction. Those results were achieved on that patient's teeth, gums, bone and bite. Your starting point is different, and so, therefore, is your likely outcome. Any dentist who promises you a specific result from a photograph of somebody else is overselling.
Statistics we quote
Where we cite a survival or success rate — implant survival, root canal success — we cite the range documented in the published literature and we say so. We do not publish a clinic-specific success rate, because an honest one would require our own audited outcome data over years, and we will not invent a number that sounds better.
How This Content Is Written and Reviewed
Clinical content on this site is written or reviewed by a PMDC-registered dentist. Pages carrying clinical information show the name of the reviewing clinician and the date of review, so you can judge how current it is rather than guessing.
- Clinical pages are reviewed at least every 12 months, and immediately if guidance changes.
- Where a page states a fact about our equipment, our protocols or our clinics, it reflects what is actually in place — not what we intend to install.
- We do not publish a treatment, a brand or a technology we do not genuinely provide.
- Where a claim cannot be evidenced, it is removed rather than softened.
Tell us if we are wrong
If you are a clinician or a patient and you find something on this site that is inaccurate or out of date, email contact@drsaaddentistry.pk. We will check it and correct it. A correction on a medical site is not an embarrassment; leaving an error up is.
Reading This Site Does Not Make You Our Patient
A dentist–patient relationship begins when you attend for examination and we accept you for care. It does not begin by reading a page, downloading a guide, or sending a message. We answer questions on WhatsApp and by phone as a courtesy, in general terms. Those answers are not a diagnosis and cannot be, because we have not examined you. Please do not treat them as one, and please do not send clinical photographs expecting a verdict — we will ask you to come in, because that is the only responsible answer.

Not sure how urgent it is?
Call us and describe it. We are open 9 AM to 11 PM every day, and we would much rather spend two minutes on the phone telling you it can wait than have you sit at home with something that could not.
