Go straight to a hospital accident and emergency department, or call 1122, if you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling spreading towards your eye or down your neck, a dental infection with a high fever or confusion, or bleeding that will not stop with 20 minutes of firm pressure. Those are hospital problems, not dental-chair problems.
For toothache, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown or a swollen gum — call or WhatsApp us and say it is urgent. We hold capacity each day for pain and trauma.

What actually happens, in order
Allow about 45 minutes. Bring any previous X-rays or treatment records you have, and a list of the medication you take — including anything for blood pressure, diabetes or blood thinning.
Check in
Arrive at the clinic you booked. Registration is short — a medical history form and your contact details. Tell reception at this point if you would prefer a female clinician or need a chaperone.
Examination
A full clinical examination, plus any radiograph needed to reach a diagnosis rather than a guess. Every finding is explained in plain language, and you are shown what we are looking at.
Written plan and price
You leave with a written treatment plan and a written cost, valid for 90 days. No pressure to decide on the day, and nothing outside that plan happens without asking you first.
Treatment
Simple treatment can often start in the same visit. Complex cases are scheduled before you leave, with the stages and the payment points set out so nothing is a surprise later.
