Book an AppointmentProfile
Dr. Muhammad Ali Khuhawar is the oral surgeon across the practice, handling the cases that general dentistry refers on: impacted wisdom teeth, surgical extractions of broken or root-fractured teeth, and the surgical phase of implant treatment.
Impacted wisdom teeth are the bulk of that work, and they vary enormously. A vertically impacted tooth may come out in minutes. A horizontally impacted lower third molar sitting against the inferior alveolar nerve is a different operation entirely — it needs a CBCT scan first to map the nerve position, then careful sectioning of the tooth so it can be removed in pieces without disturbing anything around it.
That planning stage is where most of the difference in outcome sits. The clinics have digital OPG on site, with CBCT used where nerve proximity or root anatomy makes it necessary, so surgical decisions are made from three-dimensional information rather than a flat radiograph.
He works with the Wand computer-controlled anaesthesia system, and sedation is available for anxious patients or longer surgical appointments.
