Dental Implant Cost in Pakistan
Medically reviewed byDr. Saad Irfan— MDS, MSc, BDS·
A dental implant is three separate components and it is worth understanding that before you compare quotes: a titanium fixture placed into the jawbone, an abutment that connects to it, and a crown on top. Some practices quote all three together. Others quote the fixture alone, and the crown arrives as a second bill several months later. That single difference explains most of the confusion when patients compare prices.
Across Pakistan a single implant with its crown runs roughly PKR 90,000 to 250,000. The spread is driven mainly by which implant system is used, and secondarily by whether your jaw needs preparatory work before an implant can be placed at all.
Below is what the market currently charges by implant tier, what bone grafting and sinus lifts add, and what a complete quote should contain.
Dental Implants Prices Across Pakistan — 2026
Implant systems are not interchangeable. What separates them is documented survival data over long periods, the precision of the connection between fixture and abutment, and whether replacement parts will still be manufactured in fifteen years.
| Type | Market range (PKR) |
|---|---|
Economy implant systems Usually newer manufacturers with limited long-term data. They can work well. The risk is not the first year — it is whether components are still available if something needs servicing a decade from now. | 90,000 – 120,000 |
Mid-range (Osstem, Dentium, Hiossen) Established Korean and international systems with substantial published data and reliable part availability. This is where most well-run Pakistani practices place the majority of their cases. | 120,000 – 180,000 |
Premium European (Straumann, Nobel Biocare) The longest documented survival records in implant dentistry, spanning decades. Justified most clearly in compromised bone, front-tooth aesthetics, and full-arch cases where failure is expensive to correct. | 180,000 – 250,000 |
Overall market range: PKR 90,000 – 250,000 per implant. These are prices observed across dental practices in Pakistan, published so you can set a realistic budget and judge whether a quote you have been given is reasonable. They are not Dr Saad Dentistry’s prices — see how our pricing works.
What Makes the Price Go Up or Down
Bone volume and density
An implant needs enough bone to be stable. Where a tooth has been missing for years the ridge resorbs, and there may no longer be enough. That is not an obstacle, but it changes the plan and the cost.
Whether bone grafting is required
Grafting rebuilds lost bone before or during placement. It adds material cost, surgical time and usually several months of healing before the implant can be restored.
Whether a sinus lift is needed
Upper back teeth sit close to the maxillary sinus. Where the floor of the sinus has dropped, it has to be lifted and grafted before an implant can be placed. This is the single most significant add-on in implant dentistry.
The crown on top
Zirconia, E-max and porcelain-fused-to-metal all differ in cost and in how they behave over time. For a visible front tooth this choice matters more than it does on a molar.
Guided versus freehand surgery
CBCT-planned guided surgery uses a printed surgical guide to place the implant at a predetermined angle and depth. It adds cost and adds accuracy, and it matters most in tight or aesthetically demanding sites.
How many implants are placed at once
Per-implant cost usually falls when several are placed in the same appointment, because the surgical setup and theatre time are shared.
What Should Be Included in the Price
Use this as a checklist when comparing quotes. A figure that excludes half of the list below is not cheaper — it is incomplete.
- CBCT scan and three-dimensional surgical planning
- The titanium implant fixture itself
- The healing abutment placed during the integration period
- The final abutment
- The crown restored onto the implant
- Review appointments through the osseointegration period
Additional Costs to Budget For
These sit outside the headline figure and are the usual reason a final bill exceeds expectations. Not all of them will apply to you.
Bone grafting
Where the ridge has resorbed. Cost depends on graft volume and material.
Sinus lift
For upper back implants where sinus position prevents placement. The largest common add-on.
Extraction of the failing tooth
Where the tooth is still present and needs removing first.
Temporary tooth during healing
Optional, but most patients replacing a visible front tooth want something in the gap for the three to six month integration period.
CBCT scan
Included in a complete quote by most practices. Confirm rather than assume.
How Prices Compare Across Pakistani Cities
| Karachi | The broadest choice of implant systems and the widest price range in Pakistan. Premium European systems are readily available. |
| Lahore | Comparable pricing with good access to mid-range and premium systems. |
| Islamabad | Generally slightly higher than Karachi for equivalent systems. |
| Smaller cities | Lower headline prices, but often a narrower range of systems and less access to CBCT-guided planning. |
Why the Cheapest Option Often Costs More
Implants are where the gap between the cheapest and the most sensible option matters most, because a failed implant does not simply need redoing — it usually leaves you with less bone than you started with.
When an implant fails and is removed, the bone that had integrated around it comes away too. Replacing it typically means grafting first, then waiting months, then placing a new implant. The redo commonly costs more than the original, and it starts from a worse position.
The specific things worth asking about: which implant system is being used and by name; whether the quote includes the abutment and crown or only the fixture; whether a CBCT scan is part of the planning; and what happens, in writing, if the implant fails to integrate.
A practice using a well-documented system, planning from a three-dimensional scan and quoting the complete restoration is not being expensive. It is quoting the actual job.
Payment Plans and Instalments
Longer courses of treatment are commonly paid in stages across the treatment period rather than up front, with each payment tied to an appointment milestone. Most established Karachi practices will structure this if you ask; it is a normal request and it should not change the treatment you are offered.
How We Quote at Dr Saad Dentistry
Everything above is the Pakistani market. For your own case we quote after an examination rather than before it, because the figures on this page move substantially depending on findings we cannot assess without looking — bone condition, canal anatomy, how much sound tooth structure is actually left.
A consultation is PKR 2,000, the same at all three clinics. It covers a full examination, the diagnostic X-rays needed on the day, and a written treatment plan with every item priced separately. You are under no obligation to proceed with any of it.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a single dental implant cost in Pakistan?
Between roughly PKR 90,000 and 250,000 including the crown, depending mainly on the implant system used. Mid-range systems from established manufacturers sit around PKR 120,000 to 180,000.
Does that price include the crown?
It should, but this is the most common source of confusion in implant quotes. Some practices quote the fixture alone. Always confirm whether the figure covers fixture, abutment and crown.
Why do implant prices vary so much between clinics?
Mostly the implant system. Beyond that: whether CBCT planning is included, the crown material, and whether the quoted figure covers the complete restoration or only part of it.
How much does bone grafting add?
It depends entirely on how much bone is being rebuilt — a small socket graft at extraction is modest, a large ridge augmentation is substantial. It can only be quoted after a CBCT scan.
Is a cheap implant worth considering?
Sometimes, if the system has genuine published data behind it. The question to ask is not the price but whether replacement components will still exist in fifteen years, because implants are meant to last that long.
How long does a dental implant last?
Well-placed implants in a patient who maintains their gum health commonly last twenty years or more, and often for life. The crown on top is more likely to need replacing than the implant itself.
How long does the whole process take?
Typically three to six months from placement to final crown, because the bone needs to integrate with the fixture before it can bear load. Cases needing grafting take longer.
Is an implant better value than a bridge?
Usually, over a long enough horizon. A bridge costs less initially but requires cutting down the healthy teeth on either side and typically needs replacing every ten to fifteen years. An implant leaves neighbouring teeth untouched.
Does it hurt?
The placement itself is done under local anaesthetic and most patients report it as easier than the extraction that preceded it. Discomfort for a few days afterwards is normal and manageable.
Can anyone have an implant?
Most people can. Uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smoking and certain bone conditions reduce success rates significantly, and any honest practice will raise those with you before proceeding.
What is All-on-4?
A technique that restores a full arch on four strategically angled implants rather than one implant per tooth. It is priced per arch and is far less expensive than replacing every tooth individually.
Is dental implant treatment covered by insurance in Pakistan?
Rarely. Most Pakistani policies treat implants as elective and exclude them. Check your specific policy wording.
